Our Food

Catherine's Restaurant was established in 1991 with the vision and principles that food matters.  Good food, sourced locally when possible with ethics is the foundation of good meals.  After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Chef/Owner Stephen Serkes learned about food preparation and techniques from restaurant chefs in Canada, New Yok City, and Paris.  Steve's grandmother, Catherine, inspired his menus as well and these experiences influenced our menu to be uniquely "Catherine's."

Steve prioritizes time with local vendors to source fresh ingredients from local farms.  He gets to know the products, anticipates growing seasons to adjust the menus, and values the people who grow the food. Relationships with the farm owners and growers are at the center of Catherine's food.  These partnerships are the backbone of all of our food.

Our Meals

Food and relationships are integrally tied together in our culture.  Catherine Gallagher O'Gara, for whom Catherine's is named, instilled the community culture of food with her grandson, Chef Stephen Serkes.  At Catherine's, we hope that time around our tables brings people together as they eat, drink, and enjoy time together.  Our portions are generous and our flavors are bold and enticing.  You can enjoy comfort foods, seafood, steaks, famous Murray's Chicken, intreguing and classic salads, and freshly baked breads.

Our staff bakes all of our desserts and breads in our kitchen, and is proud to present them to you with style and flavor.
